Stewardship is Heart Work

heart made of tiny lights on sand

Dear Faith Family,

This has been an unusual year for all of us. The impact of COVID-19 and social unrest has created new challenges and stresses within all our lives. Phrases like social distancing, self-quarantine, and new-normal are commonplace.

Yet, amid a year of fear and anxiety, St. Paul’s appeal to the early church is as valid today as it was two-thousand years ago:

“Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

With faith, the community of Trinity did not retreat. With courage, we spoke out about justice; providing our prayer board as an outlet for neighbors to give voice to their hopes and fears. With strength, we found new ways to stay connected through Zoom, Facebook and socially distanced gatherings. And with love, we continued to help our neighbors in need (with new tools like Amazon wish-list for donations).

Our hearts did not change. For that reason, the theme for our Stewardship Campaign this year is:

“Stewardship is Heart Work”

We invite you to read our stewardship brochure below; to reflect on where God is leading your heart and to pray about your offering to Him. Links to secure online Annual Pledge and Time & Talent forms are below. We ask that you complete them prior to Commitment Sunday on November 22.

As we enter 2021, I look forward to participating, with each of you, in the Heart Work that God presents to us.

In His name,

Debbie Shust, Stewardship Chair
